Wrong Outputs

When I am testing latency with a cord connecting an input and output on an Apogee Duet, I sometimes have the track in lpx set to the wrong output, and a really loud sound comes out of my speaker. Is this going to wreck anything?

So do you think the speaker and audio interface will be fine though?

Your audio interface is actually the one that creates that havoc (1kHz at 0dB with speaker volume set tp 10). The speaker should be fine, depending on the amp that delivers that blow and maybe your tweeter will give in, but again, your main casualty will be your ears and less friends if you count the musicians or producers that are at that time with you in the studio (for the last time).
