My ethernet connection no longer works.

I have checked all connections to router, modem and cable from router to iMac and no luck with a connection to the internet via hardwired ethernet.  I fortunately do have a connection via wifi.

Thanks for any ideas.



Have you checked the ethernet cable itself?   You could also check the connection points with a clean, firm bristled toothbrush
