鄭爽寫下100件戀愛小事，有一件很無奈……

鄭爽的新書近日出版，書名也是非常直率，就叫《鄭爽的書》。

她在書中寫到一個人，“這是唯一想讓我寫進書裏的。關於愛情的人，因為我欠他的太多太多……”

隨後她用平實的語言，回憶了她和他之間的100件小事：

好吧，明星八卦暫時放下，聽聽曼玲老師用英文講述“愛屋及烏”的典故。

愛屋及烏

Love me, love my dog

The last monarchy of the Shang Dynasty was more than 3000 years ago. The officials treated people very cruelly. Subsequently, a leader of the western Zhou rose up in arms and replaced the Shang Dynasty with the Zhou Dynasty.

After Zhou's victory, the king of the Zhou tribe asked his officials for advice on dealing with prisoners of war.

An official said, "I once heard that if you love someone, you are supposed to love even the crows on the roof of his house; if you hate someone, you should hate even the walls and the parapets of his home. The prisoners of war were enemies fighting against us. In my opinion, we'd better kill them all."

But the king didn't agree. Another official put forward this suggestion.

"I think we should treat the prisoners of war differently by dividing them into those who are guilty and those who are not. The guilty ones will be sentenced to death in order to avoid future disasters."

The king didn't think like this either.

Then a third one said, "Your majesty, I think all the prisoners should be set free and sent back home to work in the fields and support themselves with their own labor. Moreover, you should keep the rules strictly for reward and punishment and treat your relatives, friends and even enemies impartially. The people are sure to believe in you if you administer our country with good morals and laws."

The king thought the official's proposal was quite reasonable so he accepted it.

As a result, the domestic situation soon settled down and gradually the country became more stable.

After that, the idiom 愛屋及烏 is used to mean that if you love someone, you'll love people and things related to him as well. In English, it is "love me, love my dog".
