Open Directory Server promote replica and chang...

I have 2 systems running Sierra and Server 5.3.1.  Machine A is the Open Directory Master with Machine B a replica.  There are problems with Machine A so I need to promote Machine B to be a stand-alone master, switch off Machine A and give Machine B the IP address of Machine A.  In other words, Machine B is to completely take over the role of Machine A.  Is this likely to lead to problems with the Open Drectory on Machine B?
