Stop banner urging me to upgrade to High Sierra
Anyone know how to stop this banner from appearing? It is extrememly annoying.
Oh, and don't reply "Upgrade."
What worked for me was to download the 10.13 installer.app but not initiate the installation. The installer.app was placed (by the process) into the Application directory. After that, when the App Store made checks, it saw the installer so didn't 'nag' anymore.
i'm at the 'install macOS High Sierra' dialog screen and it's saying 'macOS will be installed on your HD' - if i click on the install button will it just download that installer app you mention? I don't want to click it if it's going to update automatically
Download the High Sierra installer and when the installer starts, go up to the Menu Bar and QUIT the Installer. Leave in your /Applications folder. You shouldn't be nagged again.
