Apple alienating an entire industry

Upgraded to iOS 11. What’s with removing the option for apps to see network MAC addresses?

Ive read that this is for security reasons....Apple please sack the person that suggested this. Not being able to see the MAC address on my network is a security issue! Yes I know a MAC address can be spoofed, but give your users a fighting chance.

i work in IT and use my iPad as a tool to assist my day to day work. It is now useless. To keep hiding things from your users is alienating the IT industry.

If you're attempt is to turn iOS into a purely content delivery then you really need to reconsider the price of your devices. The reduced functionality really doesn’t warrant the price. If you keep on this track then expect your market share to drop over the coming years as there are cheaper ,more powerful options.
