My iPad says, "iPad Not Backed Up."  This iPad hasn't been backed up.  Backups happen when this iPad is plugged in, locked, and connect to WiFi."  When I touch "OK," nothing happens.  When I try to turn it off, this message remains, and I can't slide to power off.  Right now, it is "frozen up" and useless.

Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

I tried this -- didn't work unfortunately. Apple is going waaayyyy down hill. At this rate I'm moving closer to just getting rid of all my apple products
