My Gen2 iPod crash iTunes 12.7

I have two 60GB HDD iPod gen 2, yes, they are more than 12 years old. They sync gracefully with iTunes up to 12.6.2 on Windows 10 PC. Right before upgrading to iTunes 12.7, the sync went fine. One iPod need verifying but it passed and after that the synce on both iPod were successful.

after updating to iTunes 12.7.0, one iPod sync fine, but another one crash iTunes when it is verifying iPod. I have tested that iPod and found 7 reallocated sector.

what go wrong? How can I fix this? I want to get both units sync with iTines. Both unit run fine, boot fine, and play songs, podcast and video fine.
