apple watch screen dying

Hi. I have a first generation Apple Watch. I’ve noticed that the screen seems to be, well, dying slowly? First the edges of the screen went black and now the rest of the screen seems to be dying too. I’ve attached a photo of the watch with a white background. Notice the darkened blobs.
