How to view txt files in the Files app in iOS 11
I have an iPad Air 2, recently updated with the new iOS 11.
I'm trying to view plain text files (.txt) from within the new Files app, but somehow when I click on a file, it launches Pages instead of a plain text view of the file. Pages imports the .txt file to produce a copy in the form of a .pages file. I don't want or need all that, I just want to view the plain text file.
Incidentally, this worked fine until recently. I think I must have opened Pages by accident, and this has set up some new default behavior for txt files. So, how can I get the old default behavior back?
