First generation Apple watch A1554 face is comi...

I have a First Generation Apple Watch (A1554), which has been fine, then just lately the face has become loose.  It still works, but I am afraid the face will come off so I've stopped using it.  Can it be repaired?  Is it a known designs flaw?  Will the new Watch 3 have an improved design so this doesn't happen?
