how to know if iMac was hacked

i stupidly opened an email on iMac  ,  have Verizon,  saying it was Facebook administrator, then realized i was being hacked since it mentioned Microsoft, I shutdown system, later changed password on devices, how to know if i was infected with virus or records hacked?

First of all, check your Apple ID: If you think your Apple ID has been compromised - Apple Support

Then use this to check if you have any malware installed: Malwarebytes | Free Cyber Security & Anti-Malware Software
