Set iPad 2 back to basic to sell to a friend. H...

Hi. Recently sold my iPad 2 to a friend. I set the iPad back to basic , and ran through set up to make sure all pass codes and Apple ID and find iPhone settings where removed. They was. I then pressed reset again , so when it was open up by mates son , it should have looked as though it was brand new. Wasn't sure if they was telling him it was second hand.

Any way when he tried to set up after Christmas ( supposedly no one had touched it ? ) he said it had a pass lock on it. Tried to unlock. He called me asking what my password was , I told him , but also said the shouldn't be one on it. Failing that he connected to a PC and rebooted   When it came back on , no password but states it's logged onto an ID of a.....@icloud. Com with a password.

As I said to him I don't have an iCloud email , and if I did it would not have them characters.

I'm convinced his son has done it but won't say. Failing that is it a security I'd that apple has put on.

Taking to genius guys next week if an answer can't be found. To get it rest to open it.

That my friend is the activation lock, someone who had physical access to the device had put in Settings > ICloud > Find my ipad

Have I done it when deleting the iPad from my iPhone. Find my iPhone.

How do we fix it.

Or is this something which has been added into the iPad after I have sold it.

Hi you posted a message about a problem I'm having with iPad. Please could you confirm for me.

Is the problem because I shut down find my iPhone , on my iPhone after I had reset the iPad.

Or has the information been entered into the iPad after I sold it.

Thanks.

Hallo how you fix email from a******@icloud.com?
