Missing contact suggestion

For the past couple/few years, I've been unable to send a new message to one particular contact in the Messages App within MacOS.  Normally, you can start typing their name or number and it will suggest the contact.  For this one particular contact, nothing shows up and I have to type in the entire number manually, then after hitting tab, it recognizes and populates.

I've tried deleting this contact and re-adding, but that has proven unsuccessful.  I've also tried searching for this issue from other users and have not seen anybody else publish this.

Please help!
