no sound for iTunes using Windows 10

I have a new laptop and migrated my iTunes songs from my desktop to the laptop.  I was running Windows 7 on the desktop, and now have Windows 10 on the laptop.  All my music has migrated, but when I am playing a song, there is no sound.  The bar moves at the top, showing the song is playing, but I can't hear it.  I am using external speakers and Realtek HD sound driver.  I see tons of postings out there with this same problem.  Have wasted hours deleting and re-installing software.  Nothing works.  I can play sound on You Tube videos or through Windows software.  What is the issue and resolution?  This is very frustrating.  No one a MS or Apple seems to have and answer or to really care.

In iTunes use Edit > Preferences > Playback and look at the entry for Play Audio Using. This will normally be set to either Direct Sound or Windows Audio Session. Changing the setting may help. If not change back to the original value and try once more. Failing that see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates and in particular the second box for a full tear down and rebuild.

Thanks this solved my issue.  Nice quick fix!
