Season Passes

I bought a Season Pass to Chesapeake Shore, hallmark channel. Watched the first 2 episodes no problem.

now I have to wait a week before I can watch an episode because I don't subscribe to the Hallmark channel?

what? That's why I bought the iTunes pass. I can't subscribe to Hallmark. I cut the cable a long time ago.

now I notice the same thing is happening with another show, The Sinner. I get a notice that the episode is ready but I go to watch it and am told to subscribe to the USA channel.

the episodes are sitting there but I have to wait until the following week's episode shows up and then I can watch last week's.

i don't understand the point of this and it is really aggravating.

others having the same issue? I don't suppose there is any kind of workaround.
