App and music issue

Hi. I recently purchased a iPhone se for my son. Since the 11 update we can’t upload apps or see his music on his phone. When we logon to the computer his music is there but he can’t access it via phone. Also have an app issue, go to download app, asks for Apple ID and password, enter these, gets to install page, click, then it goes back to the “get” app page again and doesn’t let us install. Done the 10sec reboot etc, 2hrs later it has beaten me! Help please. Many thanks
