Milk spill MBP mid2012

A friend gave me his mid 2012 MBP to look at.  He spilled milk on it a year or so ago and it has been stored ever since.  Today I tried to start it, the indicator light came on and the fan a few seconds later.  This will happen on either battery or off the power supply.  It won't book into recovery mode.  Any thoughts on if it's worth spending any time on this machine or is it toast ?

With any kind of liquid left on it for a year, the amount of damage done to it by now is no longer repairable. I recommend that you recycle it.
