Question about (old, backup) iOS apps stored on...
With iTunes 12.7, I have two questions about the management of iOS apps on my Mac.
1) In the past, backup copies of iOS apps were stored on my hard drive in ~Music\iTunes\Mobile Applications. I currently have 16 GB of .ipa files in there. It looks like I can no longer download iOS apps directly to my Mac, so my question is: should I just delete all these "Mobile Applications" in order to free up space on my Mac's hard drive?
2) I could be wrong, but I thought the reason those application files were there was so that if I did a backup & restore of my iOS devices to my Mac, it permitted a much restore than re-downloading the apps from the App Store upon restore. If I now do a backup of an iOS device to my Mac, when I do a restore will I be restoring the apps from my Mac (fast) or from the cloud (slow)?
Thanks,
...Chuck
