Charge credit card instead of iTunes balance?

I have a balance in my iTunes account (from gift cards). I've recently subscribed to HBO Now, and would like that subscription to bill to my credit card rather than my iTunes balance. Is there a way to do that, or will it just renew via the balance until the balance is depleted?
