Itunes stops playing after a certain amount of ...

I wonder if anyone can help , i have the lastest itunes but soon as i play a song after a while it just stops sometimes 4 seconds sometime a minute , i just cant work out why its started doin it does anyone have experience of this or any ideas how to fix it without reinstalling everything
