Update from Snow Leo to Mac Sierra

Hi,

I tried to update a old mac book pro 15" from SL to Mac Sierra.

I made a usb key on my mac and when I use it on the mac book pro, I press Alt touch to select boot option, I select the USB key and then I got a Prohibited Sign on the screen.

I thought it was the usb key so I tried with another one but same issue.

So I dont know what to do know.

You have to upgrade to El Capitan first, before updating to High Sierra.

I am trying to install Sierra not Hight Sierra.

Also i am not able to download El Capitan from apple store to do image.
