My Apple Watch has cause a rash and burns on my wrist.  It is not the band causing the issue.  It is the Apple Watch.  Apple has said it is not a safety or health issue and will not do anything to fix the situation.  Has anyone else had this problem?

It appears you may be allergic to a component used in the watch. Wearing your Apple Watch - Apple Support

There is nothing that Apple can do to change your individual situation. Check with a physician to see if you are experiencing an allergy. If that is the case, you may have to stop wearing the watch and return it.

Thanks for the response.  I have not had this reaction to other watches or jewelry.  It is definitely something to do with the composite backing or Nickel in the watch.  There is nothing on the product stating issues or concerns with allergic reactions to the watch.  I would of picked a different style more expensive version if I knew about these issues.

It s apparent others have had this issue and Apple has not done much to remedy.  So I have a watch that can not be worn.

As stated in the support document I provided you, the components are listed, and unfortunately there can be people that have allergies. They are the same components that are used in other watches and jewelry. There really isn't much Apple could do. Information about the device and components are listed on the website about the watch.

I said, if you cannot use the watch, return it. If you are outside the return period, you would have to sell it. The devices retain their value, you should do just fine if you sell it.

Hello Chris,

Yes, I see the support document but where is that during the purse of the product?  This product does nto have warnings on it to let the consumer know that this is an issue.  Selling a used device is how Apple supports their customer base?  I expect more from Apple.

The information is also available where you check the watch on the website, as I stated. Has it been more than 14 days since you purchased the watch? What is it that you are expecting from Apple? They support you by allowing you to return the device, no questions asked, within the 14 day period. They provide information. I'm not sure what else you expect.

I had the same issue with the first version of the watch...it was the space grey aluminium...two possibilities: either the watch material or, as in my case, the sensors...I now use a Fitbit Charge 2 which dies not cause problems but maybe I will try the Apple Watch Series 3 again...not sure...
