macOS Sierra: Finder sidebar favorites disappeared

Noticed that Finder's favorites disappeared while I was working on my mac. Wasn't paying attention to when exactly it has happened, just when I opened a new Finder window again, realized, that "Favorites" is completely empty. And I use it a lot for my navigation. Tried restarting mac, shutting it down and starting again - no effect. This is not the first time it's happening. Previously, I did trick, that was proposed on the internet - reset Finder's .plist settings and restart operating system. It helped sometimes. Sometime just rebooting helped.

Now, nothing works. Please advise on how to restore my "Favorites".

Hover to the right of the word Favorites and see if the word "Show" or "Hide" is set. If it says "Show" click on it.
