SD Card Hijinks

Hello all,

I'm having some trouble with my SD card. I have a brand new 2017 MacBook Air running Sierra 10.12.6 . When I insert my SD card, it doesn't show up. I have already verified that my finder sidebar options, etc, are correct. I can locate it in disk utility, and it says it's mounted. Everything seems to be square. However, when I click "show in finder", it pops up my finder window just with whatever was already open in it. Or, if Finder isn't open already, it does nothing. I can't figure out how to access the files on my card, but I am able to delete and reformat from disk utility, none of which has seemed to help. Any suggestions?Thanks in advance!
