Can't send messages after upgrading to high Sie...

I can't send messages after upgrading to high Sierra on my iMac but I can receive them. I immediately get a red exclamation point and it say not delivered -

Does this issue only happen with the Mail app or with using a web browser email client as well? Also, does this issue happen with just one email provider or all email providers?

 

Have you tried using the built-in Mail Connection Doctor? If so, what was the results?

It only happens with the messages app not the mail.

Sorry, I assumed you were referring to emails.
