Brand new iMovie Crashing

iMovie started crashing on my old iMac after the most recent upgrade.  I just bought a brand new 27" iMac and figured that everything would be OK.  I have multiple iMovie libraries.  I opened iMovie on the new machine and exactly the same problem.  Conclusion - it must be the library. Load a second library. Conclusion it is iMovie. 

I checked sylog and this is what is says:

Any clue as to what is going on would be superb.  I am very frustrated - brand new machine, latest version of iMovie and a random crash after a few minutes.
