Laptop with no cd drive

I have a laptop running Windows 8.1. I download iTunes to install it, click the execute file, Windows asks me if I want to run the programme and then displays "installation done, your system had an error, try again".

I noticed that under the spec for a laptop it mentions a working compatible CD/DVD drive in order to burn playlists. Is the installation picking up that my laptop has no CD drive and aborting the installation?
