Disable Notifications on Watch if using Macbook

I know that the Apple Watch disables notifications when your iPhone is unlocked and you are using it, but is there a way to replicate this behavior on a MacBook or any mac computer for that matter?

 

I'm getting outlook email notifications on my watch first, and then also on my MacBook while I'm working.

 

I'd like it to work like this; If I'm working on my Mac my even if mac is unlocked, disable Watch notifications.

The notifications that you are receiving on the watch are not tied to the computer, but rather to the phone. If you have the phone accessing the mail account and the iPhone is locked, you are going to receive the notification on the watch. There is no setting for you to change to disable notifications on the watch if you are using the computer.

What if I have a Series 3 watch with LTE and my phone is turned off or out of battery?
