How do i map a sustain button on my midi keyboard?

i have a few extra buttons on my keystation 49 (M-AUDIO) and i have mapped a few of them to be play, pause, record etc but i want a button that will act like a sustain pedal when i press it. I dont want to have to hold it in for the notes i play to be sustained i just want to press it and have it act like i had a sustain pedal pressed down. I've tried doing this in key commands and searching for "sustain" but all that i've tried does not work. If anyone could help that would be greatly appreciated.
