blank white page when loading Facebook on Safari

for some reason I haven't been able to log in to Facebook with Safari on my Mac Book Pro today. I'm constantly getting a blank white screen. any ideas? thanks in advance.

Safari > Preferences > Advanced > Accessibility:

Uncheck the box beside “Never use font smaller than”.
