Wake up connected thunderbolt screen (Mac Mini,...
Hi guys,
So I own a late 2012 Mac Mini running MacOS Sierra connected to a LG 34 UM88-P ultrawide screen.
Since I switched to Thunderbolt from HDMI the screen runs properly at its native resolution of 3440x1440 at 50Hz. awesome!
My biggest problem is though, that most of the time after being in sleep the Mac Mini fails to wakeup the screen. it just stays black. re-pluging the screen does not help, usually rebooting the Mac helps but sometimes even that fails.
Can anyone help? I am 99% sure it is a software problem, either macOS or Thunderbolt firmware. Does anybody experience the same issue and may even have a solution?
best, P
