Pin stuck in sim card slot?

I was trying to remove the sim card from the iPad 2 and it

Would not go..., then I used a paper clip and it broke off..

A piece of the paper clip is stuck in the hole and is causing blockage.

The tool also scratched the outside of the black rim casing around the screen a little bit.

I just bought it 1 month ago is this covered

By warranty

Did you get the sim card out?

If you were smart, you would take it in, and see if the genius knows a slick way of getting the card out, and the broken paperclip out.

If you were dumb, like me, you would take a new paperclip and press on the end of the broken one to pop the sim out, the see if shoving it back in forces the broken end of the paper clip back out the hole.  But thats just me.

If is funny ( not ha ha funny) how a 1 cent paperclip can bring. $600 device to its knees.

I did not get the sim card out. I do not care so much about the card and the paper clip. I was just curious to see if it's is covered by warranty

I doubt it, but cannot say for sure.  I cant see them giving you a new pad because of a broken paper clip.   But i also cannot see any genius not trying to help and figure out a way.  I would almost bet that this has happened before, and they have a known way to fix it.

I don't know. But doesn't it cost money to go and see a genius
