Applications hang after fresh install 10.10

I have had this problem for about two weeks now. I upgraded to a newer music software program (Serato) and everytime I go to open the app it would hang. I went thru all the steps with Serato support as the last was re installing a fresh install of 10.10 and still had the same problem.

I was going to do a screenrecording using QuickTime and then I noticed when I opened QT and tried to record  Quicktime was unresponsive. I force quitted and looked at the report and it is the same as the report when I tried to open Serato.

Hang ( the number of seconds)

so I decided to go thru all the apps on the dock in 10.10 and I get a hang when I try to open Maps as well. Safari, mail, calandar, notes and all other apps open fine.

I brought this Macbook to the genious bar last week and the diagnostic test shows no problems on the drive or hardware. I did the fresh re install of 10.10 directly from the app store so I know its genuine I'm at a loss for words as this makes no sense as it has to be a some kind of problem.
