Searching for Cross

I would like to track a Cross-Training type workout (HIIT) on my Apple Watch Series 2 + NIKE.  Is there a way to do this without a 3rd party App?  I don't see this category in ACTIVITIES or WORKOUT.

Hi

For the most accurate results, be sure to record specific fitness activities as workouts using the Workout app (or a third-party app) and to choose the activity type that most closely matches your workout, including choosing Other for workouts that are neither included within nor sufficiently similar to those in the main list.

This enables Apple Watch to use the most appropriate sensors and data sources for that activity type when tracking results.

For HIIT / bootcamp fitness classes, record your activity as "Other". This will credit one minute of Exercise for each full minute of the workout. Active calories will be estimated at a rate equivalent to a brisk walk or based on data recorded by the heart rate sensor, whichever is higher.

When saving your workout, tap on "Name Workout" to label your activity as "HIIT".

You may also wish to lock your watch to prevent accidental screen interactions during your workout:

Note that Apple has announced that HIIT will be included as a main activity type in the Workout app (with associated custom heart rate and motion monitoring) under watchOS 4, which is due for release this coming fall / autumn.
