iPad Pro 9.7 microphone not working

I have an iPad Pro with iOS 11.0.1 and while recording videos, I noticed on playback there was no audio. I tried my Peterson strobe tuner app and again no audio is detected. The same is also true for a third party voice memo app. However, Siri seems to work fine. I have tried resetting and restarting and making sure the microphone is enabled for third party apps in Settings (everything is on) but to no avail. Are there any suggestions for this problem?
