How to roll

How can I install a previous version of an app on an iOS-device? Before iTunes 12.7 I managed my apps in iTunes and always had backups of previous app-versions. But now iTunes does not longer manage apps.

I need the option of rolling back/downgrade apps, because newer versions of apps may have insufficiencies I hadn't in the previous versions. Examples for this are running apps that suddenly need login and online, popular call-services that turn into an unusable mess, or blown-up apps that need more resources than my iPhone has.

new itunes dont support apps to be updated

If you look on your Mac, you may have the down-rev app still within the iTunes app folder.  To replace a newer revision of an app on your iPhone, first delete it from the iPhone then connect the iPhone to iTunes.  Now locate the down-rev app in Finder and drag and drop it onto your device in the iTunes sidebar.  Apparently you can do a similar thing with ringtones, since they too were removed from the iTunes interface.
