Macbook pro macOS sierra does not recognize cam...

Could somenone know how to fix a connection problem between my macbook pro and my camera? Canon site states that no drivers are needed for Sierra OS however my mac does not recognize the camera.

Hope someone knows how to fix it.

I understand you are trying to import pictures from your Canon camera to your MacBook Pro.  What camera model are you using?  Have you been able to import pics from this camera in the past?  The resource below includes camera models that are compatible with macOS Sierra.  Take a look to see if your camera is included.

If you are unable to connect your Canon camera directly to your computer to download to the Photos application, try using the Image Capture application or try a card reader.
