Messages on Apple Watch series2 (WatchOS4) not ...

For years I've been hammering on Apple to make Messages a truly synced messaging service i.e. delete a thread on one device and it deletes on ALL of them.  This has never happened and makes for message thread organization madness when someone is a major Apple device owner....like me: iMac, MBPro, iPad, iPhone, and now, Watch.  It was my understanding that iOS11 would finally remedy this situation, but least now with my phone and watch, if I delete a thread on my phone, it's still on my watch.  I do understand that this improved Messages sync doesn't cross over to MacOS until 10.13 is released, but in the iOS world, it seems like a failure so far.

Messages need to be deleted separately on your Apple Watch.
