why do calendar reminders go into junk mail folder

In Mac Calendar, I often set up an Alert to be sent by email, but sometimes they go directly into a Junk mail folder, where I don't see them.  This doesn't make sense because they are sent From one of my email accounts To another email account.  Has anyone else ever had this problem?  How to fix?  Thanks!
