make new mail alarm

I'm trying to set up a script that creates a new 'mail alarm' automatically. I somehow achieved a solution using …

tell newEvent

     make new mail alarm at end with properties {trigger interval:0}

end tell

… but it only sends the email at the event's beginning. What I am looking for is a way to offset the action so it will be sent out 30 days/a month earlier.

Anyone has an idea how to make that work? Thanks in advance.
