Is there an app or hardware to scan a barcode i...

I'm part of a software company that hosts online and our clients would like to have a low cost solution to have a handheld device to scan a linear barcode of 10 or 12 digits into our web page scanning field - very simple operation.  Our web page then auto-advances to display details related to that barcode.

Every solution that we seem to find close to this always goes to a custom app, rather than just scanning the barcode into our web page field.  It's literally like a keyboard entry of the numbers.  Our web site does the rest.

Does anyone know of a piece of hardward that would attach to an ipod or iphone, or an app available that we could access that would allow this?

Thanks Dave!  That might just work.  I've downloaded and am going to test now. 

The $7.99 app is far cheaper than the $1600 hand held computer devices some of our clients have opted to use, if it will work.
