Why wont my Ipod touch 5 turn on?

I've had my Ipod for almost 3 years now. Over the summer the screen turned off but I still could hear Siri. Last night before I went to bed it was at like 75% battery. Then I woke up this morning to check the time and it wouldn't turn on. I held the power button but the apple didn't pop up. So I tried charging for a couple minutes,(still didn't turn on). So I try a different charger, it was charging from like 8:00-1:30. Still didn't turn on. And also it is not like that time over summer where I could hear Siri. So now I think it is completely dead. So if anyone could give me any suggestions that would be much appreciated.
