After Update, Can’t Connect to Car with Cord

After updating to the latest ITunes and iPhone (6s) versions yesterday, all of a sudden I can’t connect my phone to my car to play media with the cord. The Bluetooth works but with BlueTooth track info doesn’t come up on my screen; I use the cord to see that. Now it doesn’t acknowledge my phone at all with the cord, meaning not only can I not connect to see the track info but I also now can either charge my phone OR listen to iTunes. Please help. This is a big tool for me. Thanks.
