how do i get my old ipad to do the IOS 9.3 upda...

I am trying to update my old Ipad 2, and when i go to install the suggested IOS 9.3 udpate it errors me saying i am not connected to the internet. However, I am and can search the web, just can't get the install to work.

Help please.
