How to archive mail in Sierra
My server (xfinity) is complaining that I'm about to exceed my mailbox quota. I want to archive old (>1year) e-mails so I can delete them from the server, but have no idea how to go about this. Can't afford to lose old e-mails, lots of important data on them. Please advise!
In Mail's menu, select Mailboxes, then New Mailbox. Select On My Mac for local mailboxes and type a name. The new mailbox will be created under the On My Mac section of the sidebar. Select one or more messages to move and right click (Control-Click) and choose Move messages to from the menu and select the mailbox.
You can create one or more mailboxes if you want to organize the messages.
