Smart playlists are not random on iOS

I've noticed that after updating to 8.4 on my iphone 5 that all of my smart playlist's aren't being filled at random as selected within iTunes on my computer. Instead it is just filling based on the criteria with just the first few artist that meet the criteria. However iTunes is showing up correct with a truly Random playlist.

So I take it I'm the only one with this issue?

I Have the same problem. 4 days back and forth with Apple support and no closer to a fix. You are not alone.

I know there are other more pressing matters involving Apple Music, but it would be nice to know they are at least looking into the issue.

Yes, it's most odd. Still happening to me (October 2015). Playlists working as expected on computer. But on the phone, they're just alphabetical and being picked until the required number achieved.

Still happening with iOS 9.1
