syncing iTunes from PC to iPad

I have a very large iTunes library with thousands of playlists that are nested into many catagories and sub catagories, ie the playlists are "nested" into various catagories. Will these catagories be replicated if this was synced to an iPad or will the iPad simply display all the playlists as one huge list?
