Help Identify Broken Connection inside Macbook ...

I opened my Mid-2010 Macbook unibody (polycarbonate) model A1342 and found there was a connector that had been dislodged. This computer works o.k. and is my only computer for use as a student. I was hoping it may be possible to learn what this connector does for this computer; additionally, any advice for repair would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
