prevent Music App from starting shuffle playlist

How can I prevent Music App from queueing a random shuffle playlist after an album finishes. For instance when I play an album in the evening and it finishes, the next morning it's queued to a random song and set to shuffle. I think it should show the song I last played or at least at the beginning and of the album, which IOS 10 does usually. For some really weird reason it queues up a random shuffle list overnight though -- every single day... I'm still trying to understand the behavior so it's probably not "overnight" not be but it's not exactly predictable and it's always queued to not at all what I left it as.

Today I arrived at work. Removed my headphones to pause the music, plugged in the headphones two hours later and the album I was listening to was not the currently playing/queued anymore. There was nothing currently playing, I had to used the search, navigate to that elusive "albums" list, then remember exactly where I left off.

 

Is this how it is supposed to behave? I can't tell the difference between a bug and Apple's crappy UX anymore...
